OVERHAUL OF TWO MTU 12V 396 ENGINES
In 2016 Spaarnestad has had the order to overhaul two MTU 12V 396 engines of a super yacht and renew the existing exhaust system. The engines were taken out of the yacht’s engine room as one, taken to the workshop in Haarlem (Ned) and reconditioned, tested on our test bench, and put back in to the engine room as one. The existing exhausts in the engine room were measured by means of 3D scanning technology and redesigned. Besides an impression of the project. |
THE OVERHAUL OF A MTU 4000 ENGINE
We have completely overhauled this engine for a Middle East customer, it is one of four engines on board a ship which transports goods and people from and to offshore platforms and windmill parks. |
